The Minnesota Swarm is proud to announce that it will be launching its second season for the YBL High School Division.
In association with the Swarm’s Youth Box League (YBL) – the largest youth box lacrosse league in the country – the Swarm’s YBL High School Division will offer high school-age players with an opportunity to fine-tune their lacrosse skills in a fun, competitive environment.
The YBL High School Division will run this mid to late August through October in arenas across the Twin Cities, with all games taking place on the weekends. Teams will participate in a regular season schedule, followed by a playoff round. In its first season in 2012, the YBL High School Division featured over 230 kids and 14 teams.
The YBL High School Division is unique in that it offers participants with an opportunity to receive hands-on training from Swarm players and coaches. League members will have the opportunity to attend (1) clinic hosted by Swarm players and coaches. Players who register will also receive (4) ticket vouchers for the upcoming 2014 Minnesota Swarm season at Xcel Energy Center.
Participants will receive:
-(6) games (Regular Season and Postseason Play)
-(4) Ticket vouchers for the upcoming 2014 Minnesota Swarm season
-(1) Opportunity to attend a clinic hosted by Swarm players and coaches

Team spots will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Teams are required to have a minimum of 12 players, but no more than 20 participants. Five runners and one goalie are allowed on the field during games.
There will be (2) seperate divisions in the YBL High School Division in an effort to allow everyone play against equal compeition:
Varsity: Teams with players of a high skill level will compete against one another.
Junior Varsity: Teams with players of a novice skill level will compete against one another.
Participants must currently be enrolled in high school or entering high school for the 2013-14 school year. Graduating classes that are eligible are 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017. All participants must be registered US Lacrosse members.
-Season will run this mid to late August through October
-Games will take place on the weekends (Saturday and Sunday. with the possibility of Friday evenings)
-A playoff round will follow the regular season during mid October.
